The Studio

Ears to the Ground is a sound studio, working across spatial composition, production, and site specific immersive experiences. At the centre of the practice sits sonic world building: original sound-identities built to carry meaning, integrity, and consistency across physical and virtual space.

Krishna Jhaveri

Krishna Jhaveri is an Indian sound artist, poet, and audio engineer based between Mumbai and Los Angeles. His work spans progressive metal, electronic, and experimental music, with deep explorations in field recording, mixing, mastering, and radio art. He holds a Law degree and an MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College, Oakland, and has toured globally as a bassist with Skyharbor, Divine, and Indus Creed. His site-specific sound installations and hand-built instruments have shown at India Art Fair, Printed Matter NY, and Serendipity Arts Festival.

Sanaya Ardeshir

Sanaya Ardeshir is an Indian composer, producer, and artist from Mumbai, now based in LA. Her orchestral compositions sit alongside her acclaimed work as electronic producer Sandunes — praised by Rolling Stone, The Quietus, The Guardian, and The Wire, and named one of India's leading electronic artists by Resident Advisor. She has performed at major festivals including Lollapalooza, Les Escales, Roskilde, Bahi Dora, WOMAD, and Magnetic Fields, with a Barbican commission for Warp Records and Boiler Room, US tour support for Bonobo, and collaborations with 13-time GRAMMY-nominated Anoushka Shankar and Alarm Will Sound.

Curated and designed by Hamish Bowles, Patrick Kinmoth, and Rooshad Shroff at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. A monumental survey of couture — Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Valentino, Manish Arora, Rahul Mishra, and Sabyasachi — set inside fifteen bespoke spatialized compositions, one for each room of the exhibition.

A 100,000 square foot immersive experience in Mumbai's historic mill district, developed by Asian Paints as a place where India's craft heritage meets the finest luxury design from around the globe. Realised with Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Vikram Goyal, alongside international design luminaries including Nina Yashar of Milan's Nilufar Gallery.

My Body Was a River Once

Collaboration with Anoushka Mirchandani

Drawing on the Apsaras — celestial beings in South Asian mythology whose name translates to "one who moves flowingly in the waters" — artist Mirchandani reimagines these mythic figures as vessels of intergenerational movement, carrying ancestral stories across terrains both real and imagined.

The work expands beyond painting into diaphanous silks, sculpted wooden thorns, and subtle aromas, forming a multisensory, living archive that reflects on belonging, inheritance, and transformation through myth and migration.
